Tracy Murrell’s work – figurative,
abstract and straight from the
heart, expresses her fascination
with the interaction of color, shape
and texture. Her work is notable for
sculptural textures and richly
layered, jewel-like painting made
of acrylic and mixed media. She
creates her paintings by building
layer upon layer of materials. For
many pieces, layers are sanded to
achieve the desired shaped. Color
is used to further define the shape
and create added texture.
